FIRST: World Religions-Hinduism and Sikism


This program is designed to teach about two world religions and belief systems each year for three years(2017-2020)  Each two day program will include:

·      First Amendment guidelines for what and how to teach about religion in a neutral, objective, balanced and factual way that is respectful to all students.

·      History of the religion as it is addressed in the CaliforniaState Social Science/History and Literature standards presented by CSUF History Department scholars

·      Presentations on the beliefs and practices of each religion for greater understanding of the students in classrooms

·      A cleric led visitation to a local house of worship of the religion being studied.

Registration will open in August.  2017
