California Global Education Forum 2021
The California Global Education Project (CGEP), California Global Education Network (CGEN), and Northern California Global Teacher Fellows are pleased to present the first annual California Global Education Forum: We Love Global California. This event is designed to bring together educators, students, and global education partners to learn, share, network, and celebrate.
During each day’s session, you will hear from speakers who have been invited to share their research, ideas, work, teaching practices, projects, and stories that serve to improve global education for TK-12 students. Presentations will be brief, focused, and intended to stimulate questions, discussions, and action. The last 30 minutes of each session will provide unstructured time in breakout rooms for participants to share their questions, thoughts, resources, and ideas.

California needs a bear hug…
This artwork was created by 3 Fish Studios — located in the Sierra Nevada foothills. We partnered with their artists to develop a design that reflects the global nature of our state while integrating the iconic I Love You, California bear associated with the 1913 music for “I Love You California,” which is now the California state song.
Yes — local is global. And California plays an important role in the world. That is why global education is essential in our classrooms, schools, and districts. The California Global Education Project (CGEP) and California Global Education Network (CGEN) are here to partner with statewide and community leaders and organizations to support educators and students as they develop and exercise global citizenship.
