Join the North State Reading Consortium and California Global Education Project for a two-part series focused on engaging students in geographic inquiry. Explore how maps and atlases can build background knowledge, strengthen geographic thinking, and support inquiry in grades 3–5. Participants will implement atlas provided lessons or geographic inquiries between sessions and receive a $100 stipend for participation. Teachers will receive a class set of atlases, lessons, and inquiries to be used in 3rd-5 grade as you teach about California, as well as a copy of Our California children’s book.
