The California Global Education Project (CGEP) is offering a Fall Global Book Bag workshop for TK-6 educators in San Diego County.

Title: Global Books, Global Students: Developing Global Competence Through Story

Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (Coffee, tea, & goodies begin at 8:30)

Location: University of San Diego

This 3-hour in-person workshop introduces elementary teachers to the Global Book Bag program. Participants will explore global themes in grade-appropriate children's literature, examine various ways to engage students with big ideas as a means of developing global competence, and develop a learning activity using the free book they will take back to their classrooms.
