The University of San Diego is hosting its annual STEAM Youth and community Conference on Saturday, August 3rd, 10:00 am - 5::00 pm. We are looking forward to welcoming students, families, educators, and leaders together to provide new pathways for youth to ignite, develop, and pursue their STEAM interests, while simultaneously elevating the STEAM literacy, awareness, and nurturing potential of the community

Attendance is free and open to all members of the community

In this session, teachers will learn about Global Book Bags– what they are, where to find them free online, why they work, and how to create your own. Examples will be shared and teachers will engage in their own exploration of examples at their tables. Teachers will dive into additional book titles (those begging to be made into a Global Book Bag) and discuss alternative uses for these informative and inspiring books in their classrooms to promote STEAM education through their exploration of STEAM stations. Teachers will share their favorite titles while reviewing a STEAM book list created by CGEP Teacher Leaders.
