This year-long program is CGEP's signature program focused on environmental literacy and justice, global competence, and student agency. A 3-day summer institute engages teachers in field studies, exploration of local sustainability plans and resources, design thinking, studies of SDG 11, and instructional planning. Teachers return to a new school year with instructional plans to teach for global competence and engage students in environmental justice and/or sustainability projects. CGEP supports teachers during the school year with 2 virtual follow up meetings and monitors student showcases presented in the Spring.
