CSULB- Teaching for Sustainable Communities: Empowering Eco-Literate Global Citizens


Starting with a statewide virtual launch and a 4-day in-person summer institute, followed by four 90-minute synchronous follow-up meetings (monthly from September to December), and ending in a student showcase, teachers are empowered to engage their students in local sustainability issues, environmental and social justice, and global competence while strengthening multilingual approaches to environmental literacy. Resources, support, and opportunities for engagement are provided throughout the year. Participants will receive over $300 in teacher resources and $250 in gift cards for their full participation.
