Join this virtual workshop for teachers interested in taking a global approach to investigating the Channel Islands. Explore strategies for taking multiple perspectives and communicating ideas through multiple modalities across disciplines in the K-12 classroom. Learn about the book Island Visions, a collection of stories, articles and illustrations from the point of view of the first people, fishermen, scientists, rangers and others whose lives are deeply connected to the Channel Islands. This program is presented by the California Global Education Project at UCSB. Teams of 2 or more 3rd-8th grade teachers are encouraged to apply. Participation in all 3 sessions is required.
