Join this virtual workshop for teachers interested in bringing an Indigenous perspective to the season of gratitude. Julie Tumamait Stenslie, Chumash Descendant, Elder, will be sharing the Life Ways of the People who are known today as the Chumash. The history will come to life through storytelling, music, archaeology. spirituality and the current atmosphere. Followed by time for discussion around how to bring gratitude practices into the PK-12 classroom. This program is presented by the California Global Education Project at UCSB.
