5-12th grade educators are invited to join us the first Wednesday of each month to learn about "Race and Ethnicity from a Global Perspective". Each session will include a pedagogy and practice workshop and all sessions will be via Zoom. Starting Wednesday, September 1, 4-6:00 pm and ending May 4, 2022, teachers will learn how race and ethnicity are experienced and perceived in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, South Asia, East Asia, Central and South America, and North America.
Regular attendees will increase their understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity; receive free materials and books; receive lesson and unit planning support; connect with researchers and teachers from across California; and be eligible for a $150 stipend.
