An atlas is a resource for developing students’ knowledge and skills while engaging their sense of exploration!
This Teacher Professional Development session will focus on:
- Reading and interpretating many types of maps 
- Exploring California’s diverse landscapes and regions
- Understanding the forces that shape the state and connect us to the world
- Identifying alignment to CA 4th grade standards
All participating teachers will receive:
- A class set of atlases (20) 
- A copy of Our California by Pam Muñoz Ryan
- Access to numerous learning activities, lesson plans, and inquiry guides for supporting student learning
