At the CGEP New and Beginning Teachers institute participants will be introduced to teaching with a global lens, utilizing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and global competencies in relevant and meaningful ways. Included will be experiential opportunities for participants to develop knowledge, skills, and practices for effective teaching and learning of global issues and effective pedagogy for student engagement. Inquiry, equity, and engagement will be the pedagogical focus with examples of how to take inspired civic action.
