Middle and high school educators are invited to apply to Teaching for Sustainable Communities, a year-long program that begins with a 4-day summer institute in Oakland. The summer institute launches a year of follow-up support through a meeting March 14, and optional webinars, coaching, and field studies designed to improve environmental literacy and global competence, and engage students in civic action projects. The program culminates in an exhibition of student learning at the World Savvy Festival at Mills College.
