California Global Education Project at CSU Long Beach is proud to work with the United Nations Association Chapter of Whittier in bringing to educators this three part series that will focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals around three topics: Sustainable Communities, Gender Equity, Immigration and Refugees. Teacher participants will receive free materials on each topic that are aligned to the state frameworks in history/social studies, English Language Arts, Science, and Health. Opportunities to connect with stakeholders in the community that are doing the local work on these global issues will be made available as well as models and structures for incorporating an inquiry lens that will facilitate the development of student action projects in the community.
