Island Visions 2023: An Interdisciplinary Exploration of the Channel Islands 
Join this virtual workshop for teachers interested in investigating the Channel Islands alongside their students. The book, Island Visions, and other classroom resources will be provided. This interdisciplinary and collaborative workshop will explore strategies for making place-based connections with science and social studies content standards, and support critical thinking using the global competence framework. Guest speakers include Island Visions authors, classroom teachers, and science education experts. This program is presented by the California Global Education Project at UCSB. 4th-8th grade teachers in Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties are invited to apply.
